Fans of the page will recognise this dark, glassy quartz crystal nodule as our smoky quartz from the southern Scottish Highlands. This material erupts from the ground inside this Gneiss, Mika schist material. This nodule was just so pretty in it's Gneiss that we brought it back for sale.
This year we only made one trip to the mountains to pick this material and it was in October. Health issues have held us back from hitting rockhounding hard this year. Hopefully 2024 will be a better one all round.
