Very recently I made a trip up north to the Scottish Highlands in search of Portsoy marble. I had a lovely overnight in Aberdeen and on the way up passed Arbroath I found a section of pebbled shore at the mouth of a little burn which might normally be a river, it's been very dry here.
These were all collected on the same day, 4/7/26 because it was my birthday and I went to look at rocks. What else would I do on my birthday vacay? 😄
The lore behind wishing stones is that you say your wish and throw it away to make your wish come true. To qualify as a wishing stone, a stone should have a fully unbroken line all the way around. These are quartz veins running through the Jasper.
These are all natural rough Jasper stones from Scotland. They are looking for a new home.
