These two pieces are either of the same rock we sliced or are so similar that they belong together. I think the latter. If the rounder piece had been sliced, it would have a flatter edge.
These two pieces of chalcedony skinned quartz have a single banded line so do technically count as agates. Weirdly they both took a good shine. Quartz is usually duller as it is hard to polish but not in this case.
