This Scottish quartz crystal drusy features two remarkable faces for your appraisal.
One part of this quartz rock crystal has sparkling, small drusy crystals which look like a sparkling blanket.
On another side there is a striking patch of red hematite which also sparkles in bright daylight.
This crystal came from Dumfriesshire, from an area referred to in geological papers as "God's Treasure House". It was collected in the Christmas break between December and January. I can't give you a more exact time than that. It was on one of those days when time has no meaning.
This is an enriching example of mixed minerals in one rock.
