This lovely gneiss with garnets is a new addition to The Stone Circle's products. We only have a handful of pieces until we restock. 
These are almondine garnets in a deep red so dark it looks black. The garnets emerge from the earth inside the mica schist, where you can choose to pick them out or keep the specimen.
This piece came from Stirling shire though we do have a few new locations to explore for this material, so watch this space. 
This is a soft rock specimen, no more than 4 on the Mohs scale. We will wrap it extra tightly for you.
