Black chalcedony is a rarity for us here at The Stone Circle but it does pop up once in a while. This Scottish agate has black, red, and brown waterlines running through the middle. It is the tonight colour for carnelian, with a touch of chalcedony blue-tinged-white.

Traditionally black healing crystals are good at soaking up and dispersing energy safely. This mineral specimen has sunset colours to it, reminiscent of the lower chakra points.

This Scottish agate came from a trip to Ayrshire and was picked up near Alloway. It has spent a few weeks tumbling, and a few months lost down the back of my bed. This is a second attempt at listing so it must be time to send it off.
