I have a handful of these nice orange quartz pebbles to tumble. My uncle gave me a few a couple of years back and I forgot about them until recently when I found one or my own. They are down by the river in the Clyde Valley. I think they are actually from the path rather than the river itself.

The aggregates around here come from the quarries in the area. Hyndford and Cloburn are the two closest but the quarry all over the central belt. Iron oxides cause the orange colour in the quartz. It takes a nice polish.

This pebble has gone through four stages of tumbling in the rock tumbler and a stage of polish, plus a soap cycle in between each. Rocks take around a month to become shiny this way. Lots of work goes into these wee rocks.

I am not sure what orange quartz does in terms of healing crystals but I do know we have that orange chakra point away down at our navels. It never hurts to give yourself a boost.

I will add more of these as they arrive out of the tumbler.
