This is a slice of an agate which we found a long time ago in South Ayrshire. This rock from Scotland has a very shiny, highly polished outer coat of chalcedony. Inside the outer shell, there is a pink to red tinged chalcedony with a nice depth of colour to it. Inside that, this crystal has a quartz centre.
You could call this an agate. I don't want to mis-name it so I won't. I don't care if you do. Please don't leave me a negative review like that one lady did.
This rock was collected in 2020/2021 and wasn't polished until 2026. We may have to buy a third rock tumbler.
