We received three pieces of red tiger's eye crystals in a recent second hand batch of tumblestones that we picked up. There were about twenty stones in the lot total, so three were amethyst and three were red tiger's eye, and everything else was in twos and ones.
 
These stones have a beautiful polish, probably machine polished. These crystals display lovely red chatoyancy but I am not daft, as they say here in Scotland. I know that red tiger's eye is incredibly rare in nature, rather like how citrine is properly rare. Since it is in short supply, crystal manufacturers heat up ordinary tiger's eye until it turns red to 'make' this. It is effectively heat treated... but that does not mean it is any less valuable.
 
Say what you want about tiger's eye. I think it hits multiple Chakra points. It has the bold, empowering energy which the golden light captured inside it gives. It has the courage of the tiger, and the subtle encouragement of grounding in the red at the roots. I think it touches your head and your heart, but not everyone is here for the metaphysical nature of the rocks and that is fine too. There will be no hate in these pages.
 
These pieces of red tigers eye have been washed, dried, aired near the incense burner, and are ready for their new home.
