Aventurine

Aventurine comes in other colours. We buy it in rough form so that we can tumble it ourselves and pick out the pieces which don't need a tumble to be beautiful! We also find aventurine in the old crystal collections which we buy and supply in our quest to keep crystal collecting ethical.

Shop for rough aventurine, tumbled aventurine, carved aventurine - you get the picture - below.

"It's All Just Quartz!"

We say it often and we will say it again - amethyst, smoky, rose quartz, citrine... it's all just quartz. Aventurine isn't quite quartz, it is quartzite. This means that it started out as a green tinged sandstone and underwent metamorphosis to become green quartz.
