This is one of many pieces of quartz we hunt down annually. There are few inclusions in this, iron oxide patches. They are yellowish and minimal. In fact, the reason I chose to tumble this one because it is comparatively rare. The Highlands have smoky quartz in droves but finding a milky white piece is actually rare.
It turned out nice. It was collected in the April 2026 trip and took about six weeks to tumble. It is now satisfyingly smooth and ready for its new home.
