We did an international rock swap a few years ago with a guy in Washington state. He sent us some of his and we sent him some of our Scottish rocks. Part of what he sent was a big old chunk of wine red to purple jasper stone. We finally got around to slicing it last month and it has been waiting in pieces for sale ever since.

This is one piece of the Jasper. There is another big chunk and a second slice but I think they are in the shed with the saw. This slice is thick enough that someone with a better lapidary saw could slice it in half again to cab up.

This is a really nice, dark material that we can't wait to chop up for tumbling. We just thought we would offer some for sale before we went at it with the hammer...
