This piece of chalcedony was originally much larger but we have sliced it a few times. This is the last piece. It will make a couple of good tumbled stones if that is your bag. Lapidary artists might like it for polishing or cutting small cabs from.
This is a nice clear chalcedony with a slightly grey tinge. Under the surface, that shell has little white dendrites reaching into the centre. A good polish might bring these out. We have given it a half-hearted polish due to the sample being too large for our rock tumbler. Really we ought to have put it in the STEM.
I am not entirely sure where this one came from, only that it was one of Fox's in the early days. I say German because that's where he came from.
