We bought these as part of an online auction for a crystal collection. Many of you will be familiar with the fact that we haaaatttteee fake crystals in these parts. These - like every other piece of citrine which has come through our shop - do not appear to be genuine citrine. They appear to be a very pale amethyst which has been heat treated, giving that yello colour in particular parts of the stone but not throughout it. Another possibility is that these pieces are iron stained with a little limonite.

Whatever the process which went into making them, they are citrine now. And they have an exceptionally good polish. We will price these as low as we can and continue the search for real citrine.
