This red jasper has come all the way to the UK from America. A couple of years ago - probably 2022 now, we did a rock box exchange with a Tiktokker from Washington. We sent him a bunch of Scottish jasper, agate, fossils and the like, and he sent us a bunch of American rocks.

Most of them were polished metamorphic kinda gneiss looking lined pebbles, but there was a good whack of jasper in it too. This jasper has a wine reddish-purpleish colour to it. It is not the neatest slice but it did take a lovely polish after we cut it and put it in the rock tumbler.

This piece of red jasper was rock hunted from Washington and flew here. we cut it into slices and polished one. This red jasper from America is ready to find its new home.
