This tarot deck was conceived by the very famous Rider Waite duo, although this pack gives all credit to Rider on the packaging. It's not strictly correct. This duo hunted high and low through the world of spirituality and medium ship seeking out the most accurate cards, most widely used, and which mediums reported worked best for them.
What I don't advertise much with TSC is that I am a Reiki practitioner, Spiritualist, and tarot card reader @sporadic_scottish_tarot). I keep my beliefs separate from my mineral specimens because I do not want to alienate the specimen collectors. Adding these tarot cards to the website is a first tentative step towards sharing that side of myself in association with TSC.
The reason I chose the Rider Wait tarot deck? I learned tarot on a cheap pack aged 18/19. It gave me something to do on the train on the way to uni. I had two hours a day to kill so I read my wee tarot book and studied the cards - but I was never very accurate or any good at them.
Years later I picked up a pack of Rider Waite tarot cards and my accuracy went from 15% to 80% overnight. As an active, though sporadic, tarot reader, this is the deck I recommend.
Keep your cards wrapped in natural fibres or in a wooden box. Put your favourite crystals in beside them. I used Brazilian golden rutilated quartz and a beauty of an agate I found in my favourite Ayrshire spot with my cards. 
There are a bunch of other good practice rules all of which simply amp up the ritual and awe surrounding tarot cards. Mainly I want to address the legend that you are not supposed to buy your own cards. If you don't buy them for yourself, nobody else will buy you them. Trust me. I waited a long, long time between packs.
So A plus, wholeheartedly recommend this deck to the point where I probably won't sell any others. Other packs might be prettier but if tarot cards that work are your goal? You want Rider Waite.
I have not opened these decks to view the cards. They will be either standard Rider Waite images or slightly adapted versions based on the artist's interpretation.
