This is a new old product. This is the heel of the rock that Fox pulled out of the water at the top of that Dumfrieshire hill in the video we made all the way back in early 2021. It is on YouTube somewhere. We found this vein of amethyst in the water and took the loose parts. This is the last of the chunk which we have been taking slices off of ever since.
 
Why sell it now? It is a little on the small side for our machine to work it properly. The tile saw just doesnt have the finesse of a cabbing machine for those last few pieces. You may be able to see frmo the video or photos that we tried to take another slice off it and realised we were butchering it, so stopped. 
 
This rock features Scottish quartz and purple host rock which bleeds into the quartz, giving it the amethyst colour over eons. We will be sad to see this go but short of smashing it up, we lack the tools to take it any farther. I did toss it into the utmbler for appearances sake so it does have a shine.
