We find these chunks of gun metal grey to red coloured heavy Hematite sometimes when we are searching for gold. We started bringing it home upon a customer request circa 2023 and now these Hematite nuggets are a fan favourite.
This reasonably small chunk weighs 28g and came from a burn. It has been washed, don't worry!
