This is a beautiful agate from down in South Ayrshire. It was collected during summer 2026. I thought it was that red Flint we get there, a kind of toffee coloured chert. Then when I flipped it over, it had carnelian banding and a lovely quartz pocket centre.

This is fresh from this batch of tumblestones I polished, finishing October. This fortification agate from Scotland took an excellent shine. It took about six weeks and four States of grit to shine it but unless you hit it with your car, it should be shiny forever.
