This is a black piece of German agate. I'm unsure of the location but probably idar-oberstein. These were picked up a few years ago and we still have some left to tumble.
This piece is fresh from the rock tumbler. It has this dark colour and energy to it, with the lovely banding characteristic of the area. The banding is a red brown colour.
These agates came over with Fox in 2020. That's me finally polishing the last few pieces. Tumbling is slow by comparison to how the rocks mount up.
This banded agate alive has been through a month of tumbling and has a beautifully shiny shell.
