Goldstone is not a real stone and is manmade. We wouldn't sell you it as a gemstone because that would be dishonest and we don't do that here.
Nevertheless, natural or not, this material is gorgeous. I adore it in the same way as I would like it in a countertop. I don't feel any particular connection to it other than the prettiness. I think there might be a piece of orange goldstone in this house somewhere but it came in with another collection.
This green goldstone was donated and buying it will earn change in the charity jar. Once it is full it will go towards Scottish environmental charities. It will take a while to fill. I may have to buy a smaller jar.
Goldstone is actually a glass. The makers use little shiny bits of other things to add the sparkle. I would guess something with chlorite in it or a copper to make the green. This tumblestone was washed and sage-dried.
