I don't know a great deal about lapis Lazuli. Here's what I do know.
I know lapis has blue material which is called lazurite, white calcite, diopside, and golden pyrite flecks.
It used to be mined mainly in Afghanistan. There was a bit of a protest about selling it years back because of the war. The legend was that the mine bosses were somehow involved in arms deals. I do not know if this legend is true.
However, these pieces are recycled from an old collection. Any money you pay to buy it goes to the Stone Circle and will probably be spent on petrol or tumbling grit... No mob bosses here.
