We bought an old crystal collection from an Auction house in December 2025. It included a few nice tumblestones which we haven't come across before. This lepidolite tumblestone is one of them.
Lepidolite is a type of mica. It is recognisable because it is purple. We can tell that it is not fake because you can see the little flecks of golden mica in it when you turn it from side to side. You should be able to pick those out in the video.
I don't know much about lepidolite. Of all the mica we come across in Scotland it is not one of them. I would guess that you get it in countries where zoisite and ruby are found rather than garnet and chlorite. I could well be wrong.
Another thing to note is that this has a nice polish. Mica is traditionally very soft and we have never tried to tumble it before. Perhaps we should...
