This quartz crystal cluster came from one of our rockhunting trips down in Ddumfries and Galloway. It was not from the last two hunts, as it was on the storage tray where I put things until I get around to listing them.
There is a stunning quartz cluster under this layer of I don't know what. This crystal cluster needs some TLC from someone who knows how to clean up rocks. Iron out is illegal in the UK and I broke my ultrasonic bath with overuse. It have it as clean as I can get it. I am not surew hat mineral is over the top of this. An acid might even melt it away.
There is also part of this quartz cluster which peeks out and shows you how pretty it is. It will make a good project mineral specimen or a cheap quartz cluster from Scotland for someone.
