We were up north in the Scottish Highlands for Katriona's birthday in the start of July this year. We came across this green coloured amygdaloidal vesicular Basalt, or galaxy stone for short.
This greenish Basalt acts as a matrix for many little bubbles which are filled with sedimentary rocks. There is calcite, quartz, and chalcedony. This piece has a larger nodule of chalcedony/Agate on the pointed end in pink and white.
