This crystal came to us preloved which means it was bought online at a crystal auction. This particular auction was actually the first among our recent purchases. I was really unsure about thism ineral because I have never encountered it before. I know what it is and am able to identify it, but I have never physically held it. There is not a lot of celestite in Scotland (although I am certain we have it somewhere. It probably fell down the back of the couch).
Celestite takes its blue colour from strontianite - which we definitely have around here somewhere. Crystal healers call celestine a high vibrational crystal, which would make sense, since strontianite is used as colouring for fireworks. It's not explosive, don't worry.
It does seem to be on the more expensive side of tumblesd stones though, with a polished piece starting at £4.99. This crystal chunk is from the centre of a blue geode, as far as I can tell. It even has one or two faces.
