It took us quite a long time to track down what this material was since it is so obviously not a real stone. It has this weird blue sheen to it which does not compute. It looks like labradoresence but it absolutely doesn't have that inconsistency of shine I would expect in a natural piece of labradorite, even a good piece.
The good news is that we found material labeled as dyed blue moonstone which had also been made into hearts, and it looked almost identical to this. Usually you can track down a mineral ID if you use the right words with Google (and ignore AI).
This heart is about a half inch to two thirds thick. It is about two inches across and has a sheen when you turn it slightly in the light. Just because it is not a true moonstone does not mean that it is not a pretty stone. If you like blue and you like hearts then this is ideal for you.
