This piece of jasper came to us through an old crystal collection which we bought in an online marketplace. It has traces of green, red, and yellow in it. It almost appears to be a brecciated jasper stone, which just means that there were lots of little bits of jasper concentrated into one area and time plus pressure smushed them all together. You can see the patches of colour appear to be brecciated and conjoined.
There is not much else to tell you about this rock. It is a pretty piece and if I had found it in Scotland I would have been well-chuffed. We do find similar material but our reds are more vibrant. Also I am not as good at tumbling as this person was.
Check out our Scottish jasper while you are here. You can even buy it rough for home tumbling.
