We don't have an original location on this malachite pebble, nor do we know what posessed the lapidary artist to tumble a malachite crystal, which was obviously whorled and lovely beforehand. At any rate, this green malachite tumblestone came to us as part of a recently purchased old crystal collection which we bought online.
I did a little research into how to spot fakes, just in case. This one will not burn and does not have black lines in it, both of which are good indicators that it is a real crystal/rock.
Malachite has some spiritual connections both to money and to luck. Crystal healers might use it around the heart chakra, but you should not grind this crystal and breathe in the dust. To be fair, you shouldn't do that with any rock.
In Victorian times, ground green malachite powder was used as eyeshadow. You can imagine how that worked out.
Our preloved crystals are all washed and given a smoke bath.
