*This mineral specimen is too big to post abroad without costing a fortune. Please consider this before buying*

This hefty chunk of granite is a mixed bag, as you might expect, but it is pretty exceptional, too. This wasn't found by the Stone Circle but by Katriona's mum when she and her dad were up north on the North Coast 500. I think they did it in 2022 but I could be wrong. It was thereabouts.

Mum, being mum, picked a bunch of rocks from different walks during the trip, so I am not sure exactly where this piece came from. She likes to bring me the ones she thibnks are pretty. I encourage everyone in my life to do this. Thus rocks just come to us.

This pink granite is fairly typical from various places around Scotland. It has that lovely warmth from the peach/pink K feldspar, Quartz throughout but especially in a chunk on one end. This rock also has beautiful sheets of muscovite spaced between all of this.

This is a really nice find and a big old chunk too at 631 grams. We will have to list this as a UK only mineral as it will be too expensive to send it abroad. It is the Potassium Feldspar - or K Feldspar - which gives the quartz the pink colour. The muscovite is a lovely golden silvery colour.

Scottish Highlands Granite (630g) with Quartz, Muscovite, K Feldspar.
