This lovely Scottish sparkling quartz crystal came from own in Dumfries and Galloway. We couldn't tell you exactly which trip it came from as it was on the tray. The tray is where all rocks from that area go to wait for listing. We are trying to have a big push on listings right now to bring you guys new stock... so to the tray it is!
This crystal from Scotland is covered in lovely white and clear sparkling small quartz crystals. This druzy blanket is accentuated in places by calcite crystals, some of which are underneath the quartz. The matrix that the crystals are formed on is like a quartzite with brown bits where it has degraded. This mineral specimen was rescued from the mud just in time. A nother generation or two and it would dissolve in the rain.
