This agate crystal came from Ayrshire in 2020/21. It was one of our bigger nodule finds but when we first cut it in half it didn't look that remarkable. I decided to slice it recently and after a polish you can see the lovely bands and plumes of colour.

I mucked up this slice, as I hope you can see from the pictures. It was a bit of a trial run. There will likely be more slices of this same piece available in future... Hopefully with a better cut.

This is a collectors piece that is imperfect. Someone might like it for further lapidary work or cabochons.
