This massive lump of Scottish rock came from a trip to the Southern Uplands, in Dumfries and Galloway. This is one of the early pieces we found on a hunt a waaaaayyy back in 2021. It was a post curfew rock after we broke out of COVID lockdown. 
Asides from the where and when, I have been reluctant to list this piece. It is a chonky boy at 600g, so it will make international postage pricey. I also don't know that much about barite. We have identified it due to the exceedingly heavy weight of this rock. There are also two patches of the familiar baryte growth pattern, in that flat crystal structure.
Barite is a heavy mineral related to the lead ores. We recommend you wash your hands after handling it, do not use it for crystal healing,  and do not cut it up for lapidary purposes. Put it in a cabinet and watch it sparkle, instead.
Definitely don't lick this rock.
Asides the barite there is a beautiful sparkling coating of quartz crystals all over the top face of this rock. The quartz has a yellow tinge that probably echoes the colour of the host rock beneath.
