This amazing galaxy stone came from a trip to Angus on my birthday, July fourth. I actually picked this one on the way South so it would be July fifth exactly, 2026. I know a few spots up there that give this brilliant green colour to the normally pink and grey bugs in the vehicular Basalt. Some of the Basalt has green colouring as it does on the back of this Scottish mineral specimen.
This amygdaloidal, vehicular Basalt features pink and green chalcedony, white to cream calcite, and an orange chalcedony hug which looks like carnelian but might technically be a Jasper. It is lodged in there and there's no way I am going to take it out.
There is a YouTube and a tiktok video featuring this rock when I found it. These technically don't exist yet but gimme a half hour to post them.
This is probably thee most impressive galaxy stone I have picked up. It came from Angus, south of Aberdeen somewhere.
