Found in Angus, this slice of chalcedony came to us through another Scottish rockhound. Between car trouble and family health issues we have struggled to get north in the last year. Buying from other rockhunters means we can keep profits funnelled back into the Scottish economy. It also saves driver miles and our time.
Anyway, this piece arrived as a slice of chalcedony among 13 agate pieces. I gues the band around the outside between the pink/white and clear chalcedony could be described as a band in an agate, but it would be a stretch. We are safer to call it chalcedony and be done.
This is a lovely, light-feeling crystal section. It is a smooth rock specimen and was found and sliced in Angus, polished in Lanarkshire.
