These agate pieces are all a little different. Each comes from a stretch of water in South Ayrshire which produces lovely agates, but usually in chips rather than wholes. The water here can be rough.

There are five to choose from.

The pastel coloured agate has pink, grey, purple, peach, and less clear lines than the others.

The mossy Carnelian had a green and cream mossy agate shell - something we don't often see on a carnelian. The bands are faint but visible in orange.

The sunset coloured piece is a small version of our bigger sunset agate which we polished by hand and will never sell. There are clear bits, white bits, and red bits to this Scottish agate piece.

The nodule is pretty cool. It's the one I would buy. It has a mossy shell with that little window hinting at deeper patterns.

Finally, the white piece has a clear chalcedony bottom and the white lines almost lie on top like podge.

These Scottish agates come in an aluminium tin. I am not sure why they are coloured but I couldn't be bothered sending them back in exchange for our usual silver ones. The gold is classy.

These are all Ayrshire agates in the rough. They have been cleaned and nothing more. Each will come with a handwritten card and our standard free mineral we put into each order.
