TSC began in a kitchen filled with self-collected rocks. Scottish crystals and minerals remain our first love even as we embrace rocks and minerals from other rockhounds, old crystal collections, and antique stores.

Staying True to Our Rocky Roots
We come from humble beginnings here at TSC. A lifelong love of crystal collecting coupled with the revelation that Scotland has a rich mineral history turned us into the kinds of people who spend our weekends out looking at rocks. Over the years of collecting from up and down the UK, we have come to appreciate the value of taking less and giving more.
To this end, we aim to do better. To stay true to our roots of ethical crystal hunting we pick up litter wherever we hunt - and sometimes on Sundays just because we have spare time. We return rocks which we do not use. We stay away from valuable areas in terms of geological marvels and SSSIs, and we have spent years amassing this collection. We no longer hunt rocks every week nor do we take more than we need.
Most importantly and as we move forward, TSC are committed to rehoming preloved crystals, rocks, and mineral specimens. We will continue to bring you Scottish rocks but these will be means tested in terms of abundance. If we feel we are picking too heavily from any one area, we will move on.
