Paolo Santo Wood
Picked up a few of these from the Witches Cove market a while ago. If you don't know about the Witches Cove markets in Glasgow then definitely Google that. I would link it but I am writing this description from my phone which doesn't give me the option.
Anyway. Paolo Santo is wood from a type of tree which people suppose is what heaven smells like. It is naturally calming, has historic uses alongside Frankincense and Myhrr, and replaced white sage as the ethical space cleansing incense of choice after the native peoples spoke out about the damage imitation sage was doing to their culture.
However, I literally just five minutes ago read that over farming of Paolo Santo Wood is now an issue. Mass production is why we can't have nice things.
Traditional Scots spiritual cleansings were done with burning wads of pine. I will look into how these were made and attempt it. Until then, I have these instead.
