I had no idea how expensive and rare labradorite is until I went looking specifically for it. Now, we could have bought a batch of forty pieces for fiftey quid, but fans of the page will know that we don't do wholesale. We buy crystal collections, we buy in car boot sales and charity shops, but we don't buy from wholesalers. If anything, we sell things wholesale, although our prices are reflective of the worth of Scottish stones and not reflective of competing with mineral specimens shipped in from China.
This piece was found in an online auction site while I was scouring the internet for crystal collections to buy. I cannot see a sterling silver stamp on the pendant but I would guess that it was Indian silver by the sheen. It is a nice braided silver wire around the outer edge of this oval shaped labradority crystal. If I am being totally honest, Labradorite is one of my favourite rocks and a labradorite necklace sounds a lot like it might belong to me. If it doesn't sell quickly it will find its way into my jewellery box.
I am allergic to nickel but the plated chain works well. I also coat the suspicious metals with clear nail polish so that I can wear them, so you can steal that trick too if you have an allergy. Don't let it put you off this gorgeous piece.
I will place this on a card with details of where we got it and I will also put this one into a gift bag for you.
