You read that right! When you order from The Stone Circle, we will give you one FREE Scottish crystal, rock, or mineral per order. The more you order, the more free Scottish rocks you get!
<Contains Amazon link to the stickers we use>
When we started The Stone Circle it was pretty much Katriona in her kitchen with a table full of rockhounded minerals and no idea what most of them were. I thought quartz was calcite. I had a whole bucket of it. Until Fox told me otherwise, I had no idea.
TSC originated in 2017/18 through Katriona’s Rocks. A strange name, yes, but my other business was Katriona Writes, so it sounded right in my head. TSC proper began in 2020 when we made a commitment to selling rocks from Scotland (and the rest of the world) and started investing in tools.
Somewhere there is a video of me packing that first order and using black elbow gloves on my mum’s old rainbow coloured carpet. Even back then, we were putting random things into our packages.

Rock Mail with Free Rocks!
Original rock mail from the Stone Circle might have included a mint humbug, a small candle, a wrapped chocolate or Werther’s Original. Immediately upon wrapping up that very first order I decided to add in a free rock. Given that I didn’t know the Mineral ID of most of them, some of y’all got a bargain!
I figured with the mountain of rocks and minerals, crystals and little gemstones that I had collected and was currently lying in my kitchen taking up the entire table – I could stand to give out a few for free.

PSA:Free Rocks From The Stone Circle!
What started as an attempt to be able to see the surface of my kitchen table again, became a long-term habit. Every time I sold a rock, I would pop another rock into the parcel.
On the back of the business cards we send, we include details of the rock and where it was found. We started adding a thank you note to explain the extra Scottish rock that we put in every parcel. Before we knew it, a free crystal, rock, or mineral, went into – and goes into to this day – every package that we send out. And frankly, we don’t make a big enough thing about it.
So, this is our Public Service Announcement: If you want a free Scottish rock, then all you have to do is buy something from either our online store or our Etsy store. The next time you come back, you will get another free rock.
Become a regular customer and you will amass a collection of minerals which come from Scotland, which you did not order, but which will enhance your whole collection. TSC have regular customers who have been buying crystals online from us for years now. Some of them are now long-time friends! All of them have significantly grown both their mineral specimen collections and their healing crystal collection.

Get a Free Rock with Every Order Placed
There you have it. There is no secret, special way to get a free ethically sourced crystal, mineral specimen, or British rock. All you do is place an order and Katriona will pop one in your package along with a note saying where it is from. It’s that simple. The more you buy, the more free stuff we put in the package. We like to give them away. They are rocks. If we don’t move them, they can’t move themselves.
Free Stickers in The Stone Circle Crystal Orders
And as a final note, we have been buying packets of stickers recently and adding one or two into the packages as well. Stickers are safer than candles and diabetic-proof. You never know when the next mint humbug might strike.
P.S. We still can’t see the table.

1pc Highland Quartz Fridge Magnet
This lot is for one of the four pictured Scottish quartz fridge magnets. These are our mountain quartz crystals found in Perthshire, up in the southern Highlands. We affixed magnets with some super strength glue and have been sticking them to the fridge. It works! And it means you can have crystal decor in your kitchen.
This quartz came from our April trip north, the first on 2024. We just think these are great. Cool, nurturing, and easy on the eye.
Keep magnets away from kids, folks. Not suitable for children.
£2
1pc Mystery Scottish Mineral!
These are individually wrapped minerals picked from across our range of rocks. If you want a little treat for yourself, this piece of rock mail will perk you up.
Buy one mystery crystal and I will pick it out and post it to you. Pick more than one mystery mineral and I will *try* to make sure you don't have any doublers before I send them.
What might be in a Scottish Mystery Rock Package? It might include:
A fossil from Ayrshire or East Lothian.
A Scottish quartz drusy from the south.
Amethyst crystal from nr Dalbeattie.
Hagstones from Ayrshire.
Galaxy stones from Angus or Ayrshire
Agates from everywhere
Blue or red flint
Pink pectolite
Jasper
Scottish Highland mountain quartz.
And probably some other Scottish minerals which I can't remember.
The packages are mixed polished and raw crystals/rocks.

1pc Old Crystal Collection Labelled Citrine (heat treated quartz/amethyst)
This lot has caused controversy on tik tok because consensus is so divided. Some believe this is heat treated amethyst. Others believe that this stone is real citrine.
The yellow is consistent with iron staining. However, iron staining doesn't happen in sporadic patches inside the crystal like this. More likely this is heat treated quartz, not amethyst, which would be darker in colour.
Our opinion is that these are heat treated quartz or perhaps amethyst.
Anyway. Citrine is incredibly rare. Although we don't think it's real, it is still pretty quartz. We do know citrine is a popular stone and correlates to the solar plexus in crystal healing.
