Using yoga in your daily routine is a gentle and powerful way to heal your body and make you flexible and strong. Yoga involves stretching and breathing in harmony. It has many benefits. One of the main benefits of yoga is its ability to help you be more flexible and build core strength.

Yoga is similarly beneficial for your joints and muscles; it helps you to move more freely. By giving you that additional flexibility yoga helps with everyday activities.

Yoga Improves Lung and Heart Health

Yoga improves your lung health as the deep breathing helps with capacity, making your lungs stronger. Deep breathing also promotes healthy blood circulation, helping your heart to push that oxygenated blood around the extremeties of the body.

The result is lower stress levels and reduced blood pressure, as well as a reduction of oxidative stress, which is the particularly nasty stuff that can cause heart attacks.

Yoga and Office Worker Stiffness

If you spend a lot of time in the office or sitting around all day, yoga can be very helpful. Some yoga poses help to target the back, shoulders, and hips, which helps with stiffness and pain. This makes it perfect for promoting relaxation in your life.

Using healing crystals with Yoga

Yoga is much more than just exercise; it is the perfect way to make a Universal connection. Some people will choose to use a healing crystal with their yoga practice. It is believed that these crystals carry their own energy. This energy can calm the body, mind, and spirit which is exemplified through the meditative practice of deep breathing.

Some people will use these healing crystals to help boost relaxation. You can place healing crystals close to your yoga mat. Your crystals can help to have a sense of grounding or a sense of flight, depending upon what your workout goals are. You can even use them to connect with your inner chakras.

Quartz is often used to connect with the crown chakra. It is the driver, the main crystal, the master stone. It enhances the strength of the other crystals you use.

Amethyst is associated with Astral Projection and connecting the third eye chakra, while calcite is the perfect mineral to help you rebuild damaged spirits.

All-in-all, using healing crystals during yoga makes the practice feel more personal. There are crystals you like to keep in your pocket, under your pillow, or on your mantlepiece. These are the pieces you will want near you during your meditative yoga practice.

There are many different crystal healing interpretations of what Fluorite does for you. We find it has a tamed chaotic energy with a nice, soft, wholesome come-down.

Strength and Flexibility

Anyone can start yoga regardless of their age or fitness level. It is a very useful practice for increasing flexibility and strength. This is especially true if you are wheelchair bound or paralysed in specific parts of the body which prevent mobility during exercise. You can even do yoga in a chair!

Some yoga poses are easier than others; each pose requires you to engage different muscles by holding them steadily while you take those key deep breaths. The more you practice, the stronger and more stable the muscles that help with posture and balance.

Yoga gently stretches muscles, tendons, and ligaments, which allows your body to be more open and mobile. Yoga is ideal for removing stiffness, and it helps with circulation. For those who struggle with tightness in their body, such as in their hips, shoulders, and back. Yoga serves as a powerful relief.

What makes yoga different from other exercises is that strength and flexibility work together. Which many other exercises don’t offer both? Practicing yoga regularly helps improve your body in many ways.

Yoga Clothing, socks, leggings, and shorts

Yoga requires comfort and movement, and the right clothing can make a big difference in your daily practice. Yoga clothing can help with yoga as they are designed to be flexible, breathable, and supportive.

Using yoga socks can be very useful to help with stability, as yoga socks often come with non-slip grip bottoms. These socks are ideal as they give you extra traction on the mat. Socks are perfect for preventing slipping. They are also very useful in the winter to keep your feet warm. They are also more hygienic to use if you are going to a yoga studio.

Yoga leggings are very useful for yoga as they are very flexible and they move with your body. They are often made from stretchy and lightweight material. High-waisted leggings are recommended as they keep everything in place while bending and stretching. A good yoga leggings is breathable and will keep you cool during a yoga session.

Yoga shorts are perfect to encourage airflow, and they are more desirable in the summer. Many yoga shorts are designed to be breathable to reduce sweating. Most yoga shorts are made of stretchy material that is flexible.

There are many other types of yoga clothing available; they all serve the same purpose: they encourage flexibility, comfort, and confidence. It is all about preference on what makes you feel comfortable.

Yoga as an Aid to Healing

(Katriona says)

I have practised yoga since I was in my teens. I have even taught it once or twice. I believe it is the reason that I do not have a bad back at 41 when everyone else I know has one. I can still touch my toes (lol) and I am pretty flexible in my old age. Even if I am not so skinny as I used to be.

It must all be yoga. The only other exercise I get is picking up rocks or walking the dog. I swear by it.

We won't try to teach you any moves here, but there are plenty of YouTube videos we can recommend for beginners.

Try this yoga for beginner's video. This lady has millions of subscribers so it is a good starting point. She must be doing something right. Also it's only a twenty minute workout so it won't kill you. This has been a guest post from our friends at Yoga Props. I hope you found it informative. They are sending us a yoga mat to try out so we will update you with a review when we have one.
