These backflow incense cones were ordered to go with a backflow burner which never arrived. That's good news for you guys, because they get passed on to you. These are from a larger bag of loose cones. They have that gorgeouse sandalwood smell as if they were normal sandalwood incense sticks.
These will work as ordinary sandalwood incense cones.
As ever you cannot leave these burning in an empty room. You should not give a lit one to a child - or any person actually. You should let them burn out in a non-flammable place like an ashtray or metal/ceramic incense burner. I put a little note explaining the safety precautions on the pack. I hope I can trust you guys not to burn down any houses.
The big bag said they were manufactured in France, unusual for incense but less air miles than my usual Nag Champa.
What is Sandalwood Good For?
We love it because it smells like the treatment room at the local healing and relaxation centre. It immediately calms your brain when you have that association.
There are other benefits of Sandalwood including it being good for your skin, improving sleep, reducing anxiety, and if you use sandalwood essential oil it is also antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and legend has it that it may reduce the signs of ageing.
Remember that you should mix your essential oils with a carrier oil (like coconut oil) and not place them directly on your skin because I did that with clove oil for toothache one day and badly burned my gums. Evidence based research suggests pain.
But these sandalwood cones are cool. Sandalwood incense is my chosen representation of the air element if I am absolutely not performing ritual work.
