This piece of green calcite came to us as part of an old crystal collection. This collector also had a juicy looking orange calcite and a soft blue calcite crystal in it. This green piece feels so waxy that when we washed it in the hot soapy water it went all slippery and we have been chasing it around the kitchen ever since. The Gods only know how we will get it to stay in the package. 
 
This crystal has this sweet, comforting energy that is apparently common for its type. Crystal healers might use green calcite to mop up negative emotions and do some heart healing. 
 
Green calcite is most commonly mined in Mexico. We do not know for certain that this is where this green calcite crystal came from. We do know that the green is caused by chlorite, a type of mica and one of the minerals you might find in green aventurine. 
 
This crystal is currently waiting to be listed beside my elephant burner which runs on nag champa and coffee... just like me.
