This desert rose crystal is the largest one that we have come across so far. It is almost 150g on its own, with lots of baryte blades all over it. It is covered 360 degrees. They are a soft, creamy coloured blade.
These crystals are named desert roses because of the rose-shaped formation that they take. These are created when mineral rich water evaporates in desert conditions, leaving behind arid crystal formations.
The last crystal collection that we bought from auction had three different desert rose samples in it and all are interesting in their own right. Although this came from an old crystal collection it has been washed with the toothbrush and some gently wipes.
