This calcite chunk is the size of my fist, but I have small hands. There re several large crystals of calcite here. What makes it special is the mix of hexagonal crystal, pointed crystal, and calcite stairs, all in one crystal specimen. The dark colour looks like another mineral rather than just dirt. I'm stuck for an ID though.
This is a rare find although I know calcite isn't one of the trendy minerals. This chunk of calcite on host rock is ideal for helping those going through a hard time. Symbolically, calcite is the great rebuilder of structures. It can be a great rebuilder for people, too.
And even if you are a crystal specimen collector with no metaphysical beliefs, this is a cracking specimen of Scottish calcite.
