This quartz crystal cluster from Scotland came from just off the Southern Uplands Way down in Dumfriesshire. It's a lovely location which is sprinkled with old mine works.

This med-lg piece of quartz crystal sparkles under the cabinet light. It's a good collector's piece if you are shopping for British crystals.

There is what looks like a sedimentary second mineral which cleaning could not remove. We did not try acid because we didn't want to risk the crystal. A bit of vinegar might actually take it off but I have a funny feeling we tried it already.

Picked sometime in 2020-24, this is a good sized Scottish crystals for any mineral collection.
