We found seriously cool advent calendars while we were looking for the best crystal advent calendars of 2025 for another article. We started writing them down and before you know it, it was a whole other thing.

The Crystal Cats Advent Calendar
If you love both sparkly crystals (Swarovski style rather than quartz style) and you love cats, then hold. The. Bus. This is the advent calendar for you. Each day of advent you will open a doorway which leads to a new crystal cat figurine.
The cats are, unfortunately, acrylic. They are made to help you celebrate the days running up to Christmas. The pack contains a link or QR code to a digital 24-day calendar. The idea is that you unwrap a cat a day in December and they will act as Christmas decorations for you, for years to come.
Or at least until your real cat pushes them off the shelf.
The Christmas Slime Advent Calendar
Show us a kid that doesn’t like slime, and we will show you a liar… of course kids don’t lie, they are little darlings. Little darlings who love slime.
The slime advent calendar contains suitably slime-filled gifts, with 12-days of slime and 12 accessories for said slimes, allowing kids to create their own tower of slime paradise, all in time for Christmas morning. Because you don’t have enough mess to deal with.
For the nieces and nephews, however, it is definitely something to think about.
The Legends of Metal & Rock Advent Calendar
Looking for an advent calendar for the metalhead in your life? And why not! While we were searching for “rough rock” advent calendars, we came across this Legends of Rock and Metal calendar instead. It was so cool that we had to add it in somewhere, so here we are.
As partner to a metalhead, I can confirm that this advent calendar will be going on the Christmas shopping list. The calendar features 24 days of individual legends of rock band members, each done in a slightly Ghibli fashion to look both cute and slightly terrifying. It doesn’t matter how little you make Gene Hackman; he is still pretty scary.
Experience 24 days of fire, thunder, and riffs, although it looks like they are ornaments minus the music. Presumably if you buy this calendar then you already know the music.
Rock n’ Roll.
The Reusable Advent Calendar
What if you just bought yourself the packaging for an advent calendar for the kids or for your SO, but then you added the prizes in by yourself? Of course, we would recommend that you added recycled crystals and rock hounded rocks from The Stone Circle to fill the pockets, but you can, in fact, use anything you like. Even coal.
So, there is an outright cost for these. This one is in neutral Christmas colours suitable for any gender. Once you buy it, obviously you need to pay to fill it. The good news is that you will have it next year as a sort of family heirloom to do the same thing over again.
You can get these in blue, green & pink, as cheap boxes if you are on a budget, and even as burlap sacks which you clip onto a piece of twine which you can hang anywhere in your house. There are train shaped empty advent calendars, parcel shaped ones – if you can think of it, you can get it.
