This piece of Scottish agate was in the drawer to be polished for literal years. We haven't been up the fife coastline since July 4th, 2023, which is when we picked up this Scottish crystal.

Originally we thought this crystal would turn out red since it had a characteristic-of-the-area red coating. This can be rhyolite. It eroded away during tumbling and we were left with this lovely deep blue colour of Scottish agate.

This British mineral specimen has taken a lovely shine. It has a dimpled chalcedony skin and faint banding on one face.
