This Scottish mineral specimen has possibly the best shine on it that we have ever seen. It is smoother than a baby's bottom, This will make an excellent worry stone, actually, due to how smooth and shiny it is. Anyone who has ever had a pebble in their pocket to fidget with while they talk will love this.
This is a waterline agate which I collected down in South Ayrshire at the end of 2025, probably around October time. We brought it home, washed it with hot soapy water, and put it through 4 grit cycles, 5 burnishing cycles, and one week of gem foam in our rock polishing machine. You can read about what machines we use to polish our rocks with on our blog, where we give sound advice on how to choose a rock tumbler.
This is the first batch of successful tumblestones to come through a gem foam polishing stage. You can follow the progress of this batch on our Facebook page circa January 2026.
This waterline agate has soft whites, greys, and creams all arrayed in neat parallel lines, with a flat bottom and top.
