This is a massive chunk of Scottish Smoky Quartz Crystal down from the mountain. It has been with us for quite a while now. The large chunks are difficult to post so we usually leave them behind. This piece had a dark, glassy patch that meant we couldn't leave it.

This Scottish rock is a good kilo or more, with growth patterns on the back. It has layers of mica through it though most of it is quartz. It came from the Perthshire area.
